Kama’aina Hawaii.com, LLC. is a State of Hawaii registered company that provides a proprietary technology platform—Hawaii Island Brands.com, related services and support that exclusively enables local Hawaiian businesses, merchants, manufacturers, artists, farmers and the tourist industry to manage and offer their inventory, product or services "for sale" to visiting tourists and online consumers worldwide. We do not sell, ship, warehouse and/or provide retail services. Hawaii Island Brands.com is an online asset of Kama’aina Hawaii.com, LLC.

Merchants on Hawaii Island Brands are the sellers and issuers who are solely responsible to you the ("Buyer") for the care and quality of the goods and services they sell/provide, and for expediting delivery, including refunds, returns and exchanges of all purchases made on the Hawaii Island Brands site - you will need to contact the Seller direct by using your My Account to resolve any issues you may experience.

Returns And Exchanges Policy

  • Proof of purchase (order number, tax invoice, etc.)
  • Retail purchases returnable only to merchant stores where product was purchased. *(See invoice for merchant info)
  • Items washed, worn, or damaged by the customer may not be returned or exchanged.
  • Final sale items may not be returned or exchanged. 
  • Exchanges will only be honored once for the original purchase.
  • Exchange or Returns must be made within 30 (thirty) days of the original invoice date.
  • Merchant credits received do not include original shipping charges.
  • For any order where a voucher, coupon or deal discount is applied, entire purchase is returnable for store credit only. 
  • Online credit for exchange or return order must be used in a single transaction.
  • All exchanges or returns must be accompanied by a completed exchange/return form.
  • Otherwise, there may be a seller delay with processing the exchange.
  • Exchanges applicable for different size or color only, except in the case of damages.
  • Any remaining balance will be considered forfeited by the customer.
  • Customer is solely responsible for freight for returned merchandise.
  • When returning items to merchant store we recommend using a shipping carrier option which provides a tracking number as we and the seller are not responsible for packages that are lost during transit.

Section 1 – Returns

Seller policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately the seller can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging when returned to the seller.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. Sellers also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

Additional non-returnable items:
* Gift cards.
* Downloadable software products.
* Some health and personal care items.

To complete your return, seller requires a receipt or proof of purchase. Important: Please send your purchase back to the seller. *(See invoice for seller information).

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)
* Book with obvious signs of use.
* CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
* Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
* Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.

Section 2 – Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected by the seller, the seller will send you an email to notify you that they have received your returned item. Seller will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Section 3 – Late Or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund from the seller, please contact us to help you resolve the issue.

Section 4 – Sale And Discount Deal Items 

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale and discount deal items cannot be refunded.

Section 5 – Exchanges 

Sellers will only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send seller an email by using your My Account and return your item to seller. *(See invoice for seller information).

Section 6 – Gifts 

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

Cookies - Our site uses cookies that allows us to store information about your session (referrer, landing page, stores visited, cart contents, etc).

Section 7 – Shipping 

To return your product, you should ship or mail your product to seller. *(See invoice for seller information).

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75 to seller, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. The sellers don’t guarantee that they will receive your returned item.
